2009 Ghostly Photo Contest Winners

Hello everyone!

First of all we want to thank everyone for all the great entries this year. It took some time to decide the best photos but we finally came to an agreement on this years winners.

First Place

Yet again, first prize this year again goes to The Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville Louisiana. The ghost of Chloe appears in this photo between the main house and what is now the gift shop. Thanks to everyone at The Myrtles for keeping history alive and the spirits happy.

Second Place

Submitted by living historian Jeff Prechtel. This photo was taken while touring Gettysburg Battlefield. There wasn't anyone around when these phantom soldiers were spotted, the next moment they were gone. Thanks, Jeff, for an awesome photo!

Third Place

This photo was sent to us by Shelly Casteel who first sent it to T.A.P.S. when they first captured this very interesting orb. This is what the folks at T.A.P.S. told her,

"Here are the copies of your pictures after we adjusted them to analyze them.  As you can see, it definitively emits it's own light and there seems to be a mass of some sort in the middle.  I believe that it's an orb...and a great one at that.  It's very unusual to see colored orbs like that."

Just Plain Spooky

Our spookiest photo was sent in by Jonas Brihammar, owner of GhoSt Augustine Ghost Tours in St. Augustine Florida. This photo is spooky and hard to tell if it is really a man's face or just a trick of the eye with the camera.
